I applied for a job but my application was rejected due to a Sterling error in my background report. Some criminal records were reported, even they were older than 10 years and as I know, non-convictions should not be reported for such a long period. Moreover, not only one application was rejected, but 4, the 5th company didn’t come back with an answer, but I fell it’ll be negative. How can I remove the information from my report and why Sterling is still reporting it? Can I dispute as is written here https://consumerattorneys.com/article/sterling-background-check-errors or my criminal records could not be removed?
